About Our Church

rccg province 5 desire of nations making heaven is the principal thing.

Following the decision of the Governing Council and Supreme Council of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, the General Overseer declared the creation of new provinces in August 2012 among which was RCCG FCT 5.

To the glory of God RCCG FCT Province 5 was carved out of RCCG FCT 1 Province and became a member of the Region 10 Abuja family. The new province is headquartered at the RCCG Desire of Nations Parish, located at Plot 496, Obafemi Awolowo way, Jabi, Abuja. The inauguration ceremony, which took place on the 16th of the mantle of leadership from the Special Assistant to General Overseer & Pastor in-Charge of Region 10, Pastor J.K. Olaade, to the pioneering Pastor in-Charge of RCCG FCT Province 5, Pastor Francis A. Oluwalade and his wife – Pastor (Mrs) Foluke Hannah Oluwalade.

The province’s operations had however commenced since 1st 2012. The FCT 5 province was also named as “Province of Incomparable Grace” to exemplify the immense grace and favour of God experienced by the PICP and the entire church.

At inception, a total of 33 Area Headquarters comprising of one hundred and forty-eight (148) parishes were handed over to the new province. Out of this, a Area headquarters does not exist reducing it to 32 Areas. Within three months of operation, another Area was added making it 33 Area Headquarters and a Youth Area which is yet to be named.

The province since inception has been involved in several projects and various activities geared towards fulfilling the mission and vision statements of RCCG and to rapidly reposition the church to attain greater heights. These include the revitalization of the Hour of Divine Solution which holds every Monday between 11:30am and 1:00pm, the introduction of special programs such as the monthly “Night of Glory” – a power packed all-night miracle and deliverance service and the “Fire must change Life” – a special prayer and Holy Ghost encounter program among others.

Even though the take-off was rough and the journey uneventful, with a few hiccoughs however, the province has experienced remarkable growth and expansion. So far, an additional thirty-six (36) new parishes were established locally and another two international parishes located in Accra, Ghana and Sierra Leone. There were also two new Youth churches established during the last church year. To the glory of God, there are a total of one hundred and seventy-eight established parishes at home and abroad in FCT Province 5 as at the end of September, 2013.

The province had embarked on major projects including the massive renovation and renewal of the Provincial Headquarters, the Desire of Nations parish (entailing the replacement of the leaking roof, complete overhaul of the auditorium ceiling and lights, remodeling and transformation of the altar area/platform and repainting of the church building), installation of elevator at DON, installation boreholes and stations in four communities experiencing water shortages, purchase of land and erection of church building for a parish tagged – RCCG Beautiful Gate Parish located at Angwa Shehu, purchase of Redeemer’s High school land at Mararaba, Nasarawa state and several other welfare support programmes.

We give God all thanks and appreciation for the first year and trust Him for greater Glory in the months and years ahead.

  • To make heaven.
  • To take as many people with us.
  • To have a member of RCCG in every family of all nations.
  • To accomplish No. 1 above, holiness will be our lifestyle.
  • To accomplish No. 2 and 3 above, we will plant churches within five minutes walking distance in every city and town of developing countries and within five minutes driving distance in every city and town of developed countries.
  • We will pursue these objectives until every Nation in the world is reached for the Lord Jesus Christ

We believe that the entire Scripture, both Old and New Testament are written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit – II Tim. 3:16-17. All the Christian teachings and the Christian attitude of the Children of God are such as are established in the Holy Bible – II Tim. 3:10-15; II Peter 1:21; John 17:17; Ps. 119:105.

We believe that the Bible is the written and revealed Will of God. Man’s position to God, the way to obtain salvation, woe and destruction awaiting sinners that refuse to repent and everlasting joy that is kept for the born again souls. All the Bible teachings are holy, what the Bible reveals as the will of God are such that we should accept, and whatever God writes in the Bible and His Law are to remain unchangeable; for the Heavens and Earth may pass away but the Word of God stands forever. Deut. 4:22; Rev. 22:18, 19; Matt. 24:34-38.Repentance is the sorrow of a godly man for his sins with decision to abstain from them – Acts 3:19; 20:21; II Cor. 7:10; Mark 1:15; Is. 55:7; II Chron. 7:14; Ezek. 18:21.

This is God’s grace whereby we are cleansed from our sins by which we are able to stand before God as though we have never sinned. Acts 13:39; Rom. 3:25-26; Rom 5:1; I Cor. 6:11; Gal. 3:24; John 1:12-13; 3:3; II Cor. 5:9; Titus 3:5; I Peter 1:23; Acts 10:43; John 3:3,5.

As revealed unto us by the Bible, we believe that there is only one God, Who is the Creator of both visible and invisible creatures -Gen. 1:1; Ps. 86:9-10; Is. 43:10-11;Ps. 33:6-9 John 1:1-3. Only God will be in existence forever. Ez. 3:14; in God every creature receives life -John 5:26.

Sanctification is another grace of God by which our souls are progressively and completely cleansed. This is the second accomplishment of the grace which through our faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ is wrought after we have been justified and free from our sins or regenerated – John 17:15-17; I Thess. 4:3; Heb. 2:11; 12:14; 13:12; I John 1:7; Luke 1:74, 75; II Cor. 7:1; I Peter 1:16; Eph. 5:25-27; I Thess. 5:23-24; II Thess. 2:13.

We believe that He is the Son of God; Who took away our sins, and the Savior of the world. We also believe that Jesus is God and was born by Mary the Virgin. He is God revealed in the flesh. Through Him all things were created. John 1:1-14; John 14:9; Matt. 1:18-25, Is 9:6; Is 53:5-6. We believe in His death on the Cross, and resurrection, by which He brought redemption – Is. 53:4-10; I Pet. 2:24; John 10:11; Gal. 3:13, Matt. 20:28; I Cor. 15:3; Rom. 4:25; II Cor. 5:14; Heb 2:9; Heb 9:26
